Sammy’s story

In summer 2012 Sammy Harrison, the youngest member of the MAC team, spent two months in Zambia as a volunteer. She had spent the previous year raising money to support the trip. Whilst there, Sammy gave her time supporting the projects MAC is involved in, meeting and working with people and groups in the Kitwe area to gain a greater understanding of them and their communities. Her focus was particularly on building relationships with key groups of children and Zambian schools to continue the work she had already started in the UK, connecting them to partner schools.
